I have been using TOTALS Vers. 2.0.8 for more than a year now. After updating to Vers. 2.1.3 the corrct old Database couldn't directly been found and always starts with a file called Totals.db -instead the correct file, which is called "Rechnung.totalsdb". There is no way to activate this file as its only shown in light grey. Trying to use the ols 2.0.8 Version again results in openening the correct file, but instantly crashes down, when only starting to make any changes, -as for example : create/duplicate new invoice. So what can I do to get the correct database working with the new version?
Just tried again to update 2.08 to 2.13 -New Version installed, old version to trash -doubleclicking file "Rechnung.totalsdb" (in ApllicationSupport/totals/data>) then had to manually direct to the programm TOTALS to open with . -then again a window "open" shows up >folder/data ...but "Rechnung.totalsdb" stays in grey...!??
-no: first window after d-clicking "Rechnung.totalsdb" is called: Open: >Data >the Backupsfolder and "Rechnung.totalsdb" (which is GREY!) and the "ok-Button" says: "festlegen" (define..?!) So by choosing the backup-Folder (as there is no other way...) and click OK (define) a new window opens >Datenbank-Manager >used documents > and the is there only a NEW icon "TOTALS" to choose. -even with cmd-click there is no way to add the correct "Rechnung.totalsdb"-File.
Also I think you don't get the meaning of the open dialog. It is for selecting a FOLDER which means that every FILE will be grayed out. Do NOT use the Database Manager it is just a list of Recent Documents and missunderstood by users.
Ok. Also not using the Database Manager any more, I cannot d-click my "old" file Rechnung.totalsdb. Programm always tries to install a complete new (blanc) file called TOTALSA. there any other way then to open or import my correct file...??!
