App Store version behind current version [SOLVED]
  • I purchased my copy of Totals from the Apple App Store. The current version in the Apple App Store is 2.0.8 while the current version from your website is 2.1.1. Is there any reason the 2.1.1 version is not available in the Apple App Store?
  • Hi,
the only reason is Apple. They take the time (up to 15 days) before they publish a new version in the Mac App Store. We always submit the new version at the same time with the website version.

  • I purchased a copy of totals also on apple app store my has a conflict, I got the trial version first from Kedisoft.com the time expired and i purchased thru app store and totals version is newer than the one I have what should I do? I can't register my purchase software because app store doesn't send me a serial key.
  • Hi
We are really sorry for that! Apple slows down the App Store publishing processes. I guess Mountain Lion has currently more priority than any other application.
I will publish a new update in a few hours which will give you another 15 trial days. Again, big sorry for this inconveniences.

    Kind regards,
    Ferhat
  • The new update will give you additional 15 days fully functional trial.

  • Hello,

i have the same problem. Just bought Totals in the App Store bit before i had the trial.
Now i cant use my database on the bought software.

    Regards
    Thomas
  • Hi Thomas,

we guarantee that you will be able to use the website version until Apple publishes v2.1 on their app store. Keep using the website version. It is the same as the waiting version on the app store. Screenshot from the iTunes app store admin panel: http://t.co/dIX7yvJ1

  • Hi
I only bought the Totals software off the App Store last week, my version is 2.0.8, should i not of got version 2.1 or above, also the App Store is still showing version 2.0.8. Is there no where on the software to check for updates or is the App Store not meant to do it?

    thanks
    Damien
  • Hi Damien,

we submitted 2.1.2 21 days ago and still waiting for Apple to review it. http://t.co/NJmnOUH6
I really wish that people with the same problem would also contact Apple. We as developers can not do more than submitting our apps to the App Store. We provide our users with immediate updates on our website but some people prefer the Mac App Store, which is not in our control.
It is forbidden to publish apps to the Mac App Store that have the ability to update within the app. Apple has its own update checker in the "App Store" application, which we have to rely on. The "App Store" application will inform you as soon as Apple publishes Totals on MAS.

    Kind regards,
    Ferhat
  • Who do we contact a Apple? This is very frustrating to be so far be hind. I would swap my App store version for a regular version in a heart beat to be able to keep up with development.

    Tom
  • Hi Tom,
this is a good question. An Apple contact address in your receipt?
I guess the version will be published next week since the status was changed from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review" two days ago.

    Kind regards,
    Ferhat
  • Good News!!! The latest version is finally available on the Mac App Store.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience cause by App Store's whole review procedure.

    Kind regards,
    Ferhat
