Hi all. I noticed that, when using the "gear" button to delete templates on the layout page, the template disappears of the list at the top but on subsequent re-opening of totals prog the template I just deleted is back again! Any suggestions how to delete permanently please? Also: Would be good if I could place layouts in the order that I prefer on the list, rather than have templates added to bottom of the layout list. Or is this an easy fix?
Hi Ferhat. Thanks for your reply. No documents are in use. To reproduce bug is to delete layout as described above, then close Totals. Close login box. Important: Then also close Totals in dock. Now re-open Totals and there is my deleted layout again! Missing something here? Cheers Henry
Hi Henry, maybe we should do a Teamviewer session tomorrow. This error is not reproducible on our machines. Probably you have a file permission problem or something in that direction.
Does anyone else have a problem with this? Do you have a solution? I now have a list of 12 layout templates, half of them are of no use to me any more. Also would be nice to be able to organise them somehow. At present layouts keeps adding to bottom of layout list. Many thanks
I am new to totals and have experienced your problem as well. Or something like it, I just thought it was a conflict as I have created two different database files, one for each company.
The layout name still shows up, but if i click on it nothing shows up and I get the following message:
The file “D75492F8-1A48-42F1-85B8-233CAB27D002-90077-0001652AC12BB83A.totalslayout” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file.
Then I try and delete it again but it keeps coming back.
Hi Huper We seem to have the same issues...I am no expert, but I have since found out that to be able to delete this layout, you must go through all your existing invoices and make sure that these do not use the layout in question. Also you must go into menu: Totals>Preferences>Documents and choose a different layout as the default. Now try to delete layout again. It worked for me finally.
Thanks for your reply. I thought I went through all my existing docs to try this but I must have missed one if it's worked for you. I'll give it another go and make sure my defaults are changed.
