Totals is the next generation of invoice application. The main differences between Totals and Invoice 3 are: Totals is network enabled, Invoice 3 is AppleScriptable. Totals has a ergonomic user interface.

    Hi Ivonne,
    we will continue to support Invoice 3. Totals is not an upgrade for Invoice 3. It is just a crossgrade. Also you can expect a next major version of Invoice the in future which will be a real upgrade for Invoice 3.

    unable to import multiple currency invoices from invoice3 ?
    this renders the program rather useless really as I would have to work from two different programs till all old bills are paid off and even then the statistics and invoices on file (vital and legal accounting documents!!!) will forever be incorrect as all invoices imported get converted to the default currency …

    will you continue to upgrade and support Invoice 3 or will we eventually be left with an unsupported and out of date program whose follow up isn’t actually compatible?

    Hi there. Wow and I was just thinking it was me…. Your customer service is absolutely shocking. I have also sent a few emails with a few concerns and ideas but no replies. Please don’t try and bull crap me or other users about its an email spam filter. The tech support is obviously an issue. It’s a shame because Totals is pretty good but still has a few bugs.. and your customer feedback should be important in getting the product finished and running great.

    A Manual PDF would be good.

    My advice, sort out your customer service before you don’t have any customers.

    Hi.

    I just discovered bug.

    1) Taxes are calculated from total items cost and Additional cost is added afterward. On layout additional cost is printed before tax line. There is a confusion.

    2) Additional cost is including tax by default, even if option to use gross prices is not selected in advanced features of document.

    3) Item prices doesn’t switch automatically after changing of option to use net or gross prices in document, if we switch from advanced tab directly to general. Refresh problem. If we switch to preview at first and then to general, prices are updated.

    I wrote to you twice through contact form (several months ago and few days ago) and got no answer. Your email address is added to my contact list in gmail, so it couldn’t fall in my spam folder.

    Things I mentioned in my previous attempts to contact you:

    1) Please make possible to configure Currency number format through preferences. I have products with small prices and there is need to print item prices with precision of at least 4 digits after comma.
    Or may be it could be configurable in layout designer.

    2) Item quantity field in documents is too small to put quantities with fractions (like 19.25). It becomes not clearly visible in document edit mode.

    3) Please make it possible to use on the layout both the net and gross unit prices at the same time. Or make it possible to do some calculations in fields and output calculation result in specified format.

    One more feature request:
    In items section stock tab is possible to add stock.
    It would we very useful to display there stock reduction based on delivery notes, so we can trace all movements of particular item with dates and customer names who bought them!

    Hi Ferry,
    thank you for posting. I have replied to you several times. I guess your spam filter is filtering my messages out. Here my answers again.
    1. I could not reproduce this error. It is still in filed in our bug tracking system. I have spent one day on my own to reproduce it without any success. So please wait or use local database if you are using TotalsRemote.
    2. This is just a refresh problem. You will never be able to sell more than you have in the stock. We will fix it in the next updates.
    3. Already fixed. Thank you for reporting.

    Sent u email a week ago. Here are my concern (I also email the same thing)

    A week passed and NO answer from you! What a terrible service!!!
    This “Server down” started to PISSED ME OFF!!! I can’t update stock!
    When do u have an update??!!!

    I got some problems that need to be solved:
    1. Most of the time, when I want to add stock in Catalog, it says “Server down”.. whatever that means. I have to quit and open again a couple of times to get it to work.
    2. Stock quantity doesn’t decrease automaticaly even when the stock has been purchased. (unlike Invoice that had a real time stock management)
    3. Catalog window can’t get wider, making a long product name unreadable.
    4. Can you make payment easier? maybe a shortcut on the invoice so I don’t have to go back and forth

    Hi bobo, yes it is possible. Totals uses the user default short date format. Changing the short date format in system preferences will also change the date format in Totals.

    Great Job, I actually purchased Invoice 3 like a month ago, and last week saw about Totals, I was worried I would’ve to pay again, because after some trial, I really loved the Totals All-in-one window manegment, and I find its layouts easiest to manage, so I was very grateful when I saw it was free for people who did purchase invoice 3 after august/09.

    Keep the good work, and just a bad thing, I hate the Dock Icon =(

    Overdues are very powerful in Totals. Just create your smart folder by adding the criteria payment status = overdue and Totals will list all overdues.

    Naja, die Zahlungsübersicht ist zwar “nützlich” und theoretisch könnte man sich darauf eine Mahnung basteln, jedoch scheint es in Invoice besser gelöst zu sein. Da hat man zudem noch eine Mahnungsnummereinstellung. Außerdem wäre es nett wenn man Mahnspeen mit einfließen lassen könnte, denn bei manchen Kunden ist meine Geduld am Ende und ich verschicke keinerlei Erinnerungen mehr sondern volle Mahnungen samt Mahnspesen. Wenn diese dann sehen das es immer teurer für sie wird, dann zahlen sie meistens. Ich weiß nicht wie kompliziert sowas ist, als Feature Request war es ja bei macdeveloper eingetragen. :(

    now I understand the problem. The “Mahnung” is implemented in the payments->client tab. Just create your layout and rename the layout title “Payments” to “Mahnung” or something similar. More filtering in payments are coming soon.

    Sorry, but I can’t fint it. I’ve looked inside Invoice Trial and there is an Button “Mahnung erstellen”, I think in English it’s something like “Create overdue Notice”. I can’t fint this in Totals Pro, maybe I’m missunderstanding this?

    the overdue notice system is more advanced then in Invoice 3. What are you missing?

    Where can we report Bugs now? Maybe you should setup an Bugtracker like Mantis at your Webspace. This would be great couse we could send you Feature Requests for Example the overdue notice System (like in Invoice) couse this is not includet in Totals Pro but it should be included in an Full featured Invoice App.
